"Canal Grande, Venizia". A  53 by 34 cm watercolour. (ref. 1043) See how Don has captured the atmosphere by emphasising the view into the sun.	"Our Spinney". An acrylic painting on primed hardboard 61 by 47 cm. Private collection. A very small wood in Edington, Somerset. Painted on an easel erected in the spinney. Details are carefully picked out but, at the same time, there is an apparent casualness of the brushwork.
"The Submarine Tree: Another World". An acrylic painting created in alla-prima mode and also glazed. 16 by 28 cm. Private collection. A favourite climbing tree for three generations of boys (and girls) in Brinscall. This painting is shown in its frame. Don's son Ryan posed for all three figures.	"A Study of a Wild Rose ". Watercolour on heavy 400lb paper 21 by 30 cm. Private collection. A careful observation and rendition of a beautiful example of nature. This was painted on the spot by the artist from the growing plant.
"By the Barn Door". Watercolour painted on Fabriano cotton paper 37 by 31 cm. Private collection. These hens were the pride and joy of the farmer's wife and they were left to roam around the yard.	"Mum and Dad" Oil painting on 45 by 60 cm. Private collection. In memory of the artist's mother and father. A detailed painting showing the artist's parents sitting quietly after a meal with their family.
